Learning to die in the Anthropocene
This series explores how algorithmic deep learning has so much control over the way millions of people think, act and create their own reality, discussed in concepts like The Black Box Society.
Making controlled and random decisions of sequences of white, black, 0 and 1, I create randomly generated optical patterns with 1333 dice with an initial sequence that can be considered as some instruction taken to solve an algorithmic problem, to later disappear it with a following randomly generated arrangement leaving ephemeral pieces with a photographic record that remains as a diagram for future physical reconstruction of the most interesting sequences that result.
Modern mining is data mining and along with its capitalization, they are the new paradigm of an internet in which users have agreed to become the product without even realizing it.
Esta serie explora como el deep learning algorítmico tiene tanto control sobre la forma en que millones de personas pensamos, actuamos y generamos nuestra propia realidad, discutida en conceptos como The Black Box Society.
Tomando decisiones controladas y azarosas de secuencias de blanco, negro, 0 y 1, creo patrones ópticos generados aleatoriamente con 1333 dados con una secuencia inicial que puede ser considerada como alguna instrucción tomada para resolver algún problema algorítmico, para después, desaparecerla dando paso a un siguiente acomodo generado aleatoriamente dejando piezas efímeras con un registro fotográfico que queda como un diagrama para su futura reconstrucción física de entre las secuencias más interesantes que resulten.
La minería moderna es la de datos y en conjunto con la capitalización de los mismos, son el nuevo paradigma de una internet en donde los usuarios hemos aceptado convertirnos en el producto sin darnos cuenta.
